nothing computer related would cause the no compression, the lack of compression it 100% something wrong mechanically. it is also serious, it is either bent valves, the cam timing being way off which on an EJ25 would likely mean bent valves, burnt pistons or rings, or the least likely, broken rods. my money is on bent valves, pistons don't just .

I couldn't find any write-ups on this, but going through spark plugs threads indicates the motor mount on one side needs to be disconnected and motor jacked up a few.
It got worse each day and sure enough the check engine light came on yesterday. Dropped it with the mechanic and guessed it was probably a coil. He called me and sure enough it was a misfire in cylinder 5. He did a compression test to make sure there weren't bigger problems. He ran it twice and unfortunately, the cylinder is coming back at 90 psi. It has been hard trying to search for 5th gen jdm swaps. Bought a 2010 LGT which had a loss of compression on cylinders 1 and 3. Looked for jdm swaps write ups to get a road map for what would be required to do a jdm swap and ran into a month of reading. So I've had my LGT wagon 5MT for about 6 years, bought with 99K and it has just over 208k now. Other than a turbo failure right after purchase, it's been a very solid car. Only mod is a catless up-pipe, I run Rotella T6 with Subaru filters and change it every 3k, and have generally kept up on all.
